Bobby Bones returned to his old stomping grounds today to make the commencement speech at Henderson State University, where he graduated with a degree in radio and television, and worked at the university's radio station, KSWH.  He was also presented with the "Distinguished Alumni Award,” the highest honor bestowed to an alumni.  As the first to go to college in his family, it was at HSU where Bobby Bones forged the path that led him to becoming "the biggest thing in country radio" (New York Times) as the host of iHeartMedia's The Bobby Bones Show, which reaches millions of listeners.  His road to radio and more is detailed in his upcoming memoir BARE BONES: I'M NOT LONELY IF YOU'RE READING THIS BOOK, out May 17.
Best known as “country’s biggest radio star,” (CBS News) fans can catch Bones tonight as the iHeartCountry Festival airs at 9:00PM ET/PT on DIRECTV and U-verse.  Bones hosted the festival alongside Brooklyn Decker featuring performances from some of country music’s biggest names.
